Sculpt & Highlight Kits

In this post I will be focusing on comparisons between two separate bronze/highlighter “kits” from two well known high end make up brands. Featured in this post are the Sculpt & Highlight kits from

The detail in both packaging and shading is amazing, but both are different in their own branded way. Charlotte Tilbury offers a more sophisticated & delicate shading arrangement in her “Filmstar Bronze & Glow” palette, whilst Too Faced plays to their Sweet Peach theme of pinks & a subtle bronzer. See below for individual details:

Too Faced Sweet Peach Glow

This glorious 3 in 1 offers (from left to right) a beautiful iridescent shaded highlight, a cute peachy blush in the centre and a subtle, shimmery bronzer. This facial palette is perfect for all occasions, but definitely more of a nude, downplayed kinda look. All three of the shades combined give the ultimate natural glam, whether you’re out on a date or off to work.

The packaging is kept with the true Sweet Peach style, including their cute as hell peach emoji, mouth-watering peach scent & tinned-material casing. In terms of application of product, a lot must be applied for a difference to be seen on skin. Although it looks amazing once the process is complete, it would mean that the product doesn’t last as long as hoped.

Ratings are as followed:

  • Packaging – Durable, Colourful & Fit for Purpose – 5/5
  • Shades – Nude, Natural & Shimmery – 4.5/5
  • Application – 3.5/5

This available to buy in the UK from Debenhams for £39, which is a rather sweet deal.

Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Highlight

This compact bronze and highlight duo consists of two gorgeous shimmery shades, fit for any star. The details in the presentation are true to the sophisticated and rather prestigious brand that is Charlotte Tilbury. This palette is definitely for those looking for a superstar glam look, preferable in the evening for the total filmstar persona.

The packaging is a bit fiddly, but once you get down to the actual casing of the palette, it is durable and drop dead fab with a gold metal case fit for any star, also the perfect size to pop in a clutch or handbag when you’re in need of a pick me up. Application of this product is done with ease, both shades are insanely pigmented and the highlight has golden undertones.

Ratings are as follows:

  • Packaging – Fiddly, Durable – 3.5/5
  • Shades – Shimmery, Fit for Purpose – 4/5
  • Application 4.5/5

This product is available to buy from a wide range of UK retailers for £49, filmstar life & lemonade budget.

Both of these bronze/highlight palettes are excellent and I switch between them as they both fit a wide range of occasions. I highly recommend both products!

Thanks for reading!
